In what order should I play the RE Series?

I disagree about ending after 4. I loved RE5, played it through twice by myself and am now playing through it again in co-op with a pal. RE6 has a number of flaws and is the poorest in the series but it still has those awesome RE cinematics and cheesy dialogue - I still had a great time playing it. RE7 is brilliant and Revelations 1 & 2 are good value also.
