Inadequate cooling of the CPU on Acer 5930G

maybe its just me, but i was wondering if anyone else has the same problem with cpu cooling on their Acer laptop.

During full-load (i.e. CoD4, TF2), the CPU runs at full speed at about 82 degrees Celsius. After a while it will jump to 125 degrees (CoreTemp 0.993) in an instant. How the hell does it go from 82 degrees to 125 degrees in the blink of an eye? At this point, the CPU throttles to 800 MHz for about 2 minutes, CoreTemp will read "123-126 degrees" throughout, whereas RightMark reads the temp as "N/A". After the 2 minutes, the CPU goes back to 2 GHz and the temp reads around ~80 degrees. The cycle repeats: 1 minutes at 2Ghz, 2 mins at 800MHz. So basically I spend most of the time at 800 MHz, which is really quite annoying.

So what is the problem, have I got a broken temperature sensor?

Or worse still, has Acer just scrimped on decent cooling? That the current heatsink/fan is actually incapable of keeping the processor cool at full load without the need to throttle the CPU.

And yes I have tried to force the CPU at 2GHz (once) but the computer just shuts itself down because it thinks it's too hot.
