I received an Inateck BP2003 Bluetooth Portable Speaker to review, and my findings and a few images are below, if any users have any queries about the speaker post here and I'll get back to you on it.

The speaker is a small sized compact Bluetooth speaker with integral non removable 2000mAh battery which gives about 8 hours run time, my use of the device confirms this with it lasting a day in the office with no problems. The photos show it next to my Xiaomi 13.3" notebook, the speaker is as wide as the keyboard on this, and actually very similarly coloured too!

Most importantly about a speaker is how it sounds, and the Inateck is loud for its small size, and very bass heavy, it fills my home office/workshop space (5m*6m) easily and for day to day listening I wouldn't want it any louder. The unit is made from thick clear plastic on the top 'sealing' the unit, and a bass port is open on the back. Unscientifically; the port does improve the sound as it sounds pretty naff with the volume up and the port blocked. But overall it sounds like the tone of the unit (which is non adjustable as stock but would be over your media player/smartphone connected via Bluetooth) has been cranked to the bass side completely.

In use the Bluetooth connection is quick and painless, the minimal front with just the power button which incorporates the 4 colour LED is useful, it shows Bluetooth connectivity, battery level+charge, and 3.5mm jack connection details. The unit has the power buttons on the back, which was annoying at first as reaching around to adjust the volume can be a bit slow and not the easiest to do, but after getting used to it, it is best to find a happy medium volume and control the volume with more detailed control from the smartphone you're connected to. Further to this slight annoyance is the fact the volume has about 30 steps, so you can click the volume button a few times for it to really do nothing to the overall volume, around 10-15 steps would be easier and quicker to use.

My other gripe is the fact that every time you turn it on and off it plays a short jingle, the jingle plays at a fixed volume every time too, so if it's first thing in the morning and you connect to play a bit of quiet music you get a pretty grim Win95 style 3 second jingle at a volume a lot louder you'll be playing music at.

At the end of the day though for the price it is available at, it is a very capable speaker, and its looks set it apart from others on the market. The clean front with simple single LED makes the unit a fairly good looker.
