Afternoon,
So I was going to compress the hard drive on my Asus eeePC 1002HAB yesterday, but lost patience about 1% of the way through and hit Cancel. After a day of use I shut it down for the night and thought nothing of it. I had no idea I wasn't supposed to compress the HDD with my OS on it. Stupid, in retrospect.
Now, when I try to boot up, I'm left with "INBCY is compressed - press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart" and an inability to get to my boot menu by pressing F8 or F10 (I always forget which it is).
Long story short, I need this netbook for a trip to Europe in a week's time and desperately want to get it up again.
I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate, which was installed off a USB stick (that I no longer have). I have read that I need to expand the boot manager in notepad or run bootrec (never heard of it).
Any suggestions? Please help.
