Inbetweeners - Season 3

I expected this to be bad but after watching that trailer I can see it's far worse then I could possibly imagine. How do US networks keep ******* up these shows surely it must be easy to copy a already existing series, all the hard work is already done but they somehow find a way to ruin it.
 
I found myself laughing in disbelief! I can't believe they just copied and pasted scenes from the original either but "Americanized" it like with the American football and even toning it down from full retard to a guy on crutches.

Oh, and just one minor question:

WHAT THE HELL HAVE THEY DONE TO JAY!!!1!!!?!11!!?!!1!!?! :mad:

is it just me, and i really dont know how to put this sensitively, does the Jay character look a bit down syndromed?

And i know what people mean about the sexual stuff not being transfered to american networks. I really cant see the "Simon" Character being, errrm, tossed off in that kids party like he was over here. :o
 
It's kind of like they didn't understand the characters. I won't believe for a second they couldn't find some geeky jewish guy to play Will. The man is supposed to be chronically undatable material with cringe worthy fashion sense of Adrian Mole but far outwitting any other member of the group. Same goes for Jay - why fat man - he supposed to be cheeky mythomaniac sex pest. Even the "sherminator" type would fit the role better than fat guy?

For me, the whole point of The Inbetweeners was that while it was absolutely outrageous and shocking and obscene, it wasn't all that far removed from reality. Kids at high school really are like that. If you tone all that down then you lose the appeal of it being so close to reality.
