Hi All,

I have just converted my existing Windows 10 install to Windows 11 (by updating the BIOS to use TPM).

All seems ok but just wandering around to see what's different I came across "memory integrity" - which is set to "off". If I try to set it to "on" it won't let me - says "

"incompatible drivers prevent using Memory integrity".

Tells me to resolve any incompatibilities! How do I do that - several drivers listed!

Also "local security authority protection" is set to "off" - what is this !

Are these common issues? Mel

Core isolation was hot topic a while back, having memory integrity enabled within it can result in up to 10% performance drop in some games. The recommended action was to keep it disabled. it only enabled itself with a clean 22H2 install, it remained off by default on upgrades for reference.

Obviously this is in situations where you are CPU bound, whether games or other heavy apps. So in games if you're using DLSS/FSR often, then the CPU will have a heavier load to work with so this could be where you'd see the impact with core isolation enabled.
