I put together my first NAS a couple of weeks ago running Xpenology that is connected to my cable router in the next room with a 20m Cat6 patch cable. I'm currently transferring about 100gb of mkv files with the speeds starting at about 60-70MB/s and now jumping around between 80-90MB/s. I was just wondering if those speeds are normal for a gigabit setup?

The NAS was put together by me running on an MSI H81I LGA1150 Mini-ITX Motherboard
Just a single WD Red 3tb drive for now
HDD in PC is a WD Blue 750 GB 2.5-inch
Router is a TP-Link Archer C7 AC1750
The patch cable was bought from cable monkey so should be of good quality.

Okie doke. That was the last of the stuff I needed to transfer to the NAS so it's not an issue now really.

Thanks
