Guys,
I just ran a 3DMark06 test on my machine to see what the difference would be between XP and Vista 64 bit Ultimate.

When I viewed the result on ORB it is displaying my 7950GX2 to only have 512MB of Video Memory, whereas on my older results using XP it shows 1024MB.

Is this something to do with the Vista drivers and that it does not recognise SLi, I dunno.

Any idea guys

Hmmm,

Just looked in Advanced Display settings and it states 1006MB Total Available Graphics Memory and 512MB of Dedicated Video Memory.

When I go to Nvidia Control Panel I have got the Multi GPU Mode selected but when I go to the Global Settings under 'Manage 3D settings' It only gives me the option of Single-GPU under the feature 'Multi-GPU performance mode'.

Im not 100% sure, but do you need an SLI mobo to run the GX2 in SLI mode

Yeah but isnt that the reason the 7950GX2 was designed so u could have same performance in one card rather than buy 2 for SLi

I think u guys are right

Do you think I would be better suited to get 2 ATi cards for crossfire or for future proofing and get an 8800 series card
