Increase BHP? +20? Real?

golden rule in life - you get what you pay for, do you honestly believe £7.99 will add 20bhp to yr power?
now think that a remap will cost in the region of £300-£600 and give you maybe 20bhp increase ;)

dude.. do you think..

something with a name like

"High Energy Advance Super Module"

and something that costs

"£7.99"

is going to give you 20bhp?

"HOW DOES IT WORK?
It will modify any standard ECU system by telling the ECU that the incoming air in the intake system is cold and so advances the ignition to compensate producing more power. In many cases fuel economy is increased too. Power is increased by up to 20bhp and torque is significantly increased. It will be more responsive and you WILL LIKE IT!"

LMFAO.. love it

Tricking the air sensor thing can work on some engines. It works pretty well on the VAG TDI units for example.

Smearing your ECU with mustard will produce similar results.

I have applied liberal quantities of mustard as per your stated specification and I don't seem to had any increase in power

but i bet it smells great!

you did use french mustard right?

All hail the Power Resistor of Justice!

Funny that he puts down people selling resistors and then goes on to extol the benefits of his module, which is undoubtedly a resistor in a box.

Complete load of cak.

No these do have some sort of effect dont they?

They make the car run richer, which will give the car slightly more power no?

But you will probably damage the engine over time, get worse MPG and the engine will run hotter.

Yes, they make stupid people poorer and some Ebay entrepreneurs somewhat richer.

Connecting this to the engine coolant sensor is just stupid. The ECU will think the engine is cold and raise the idle speed and richen the mixture. You might get a tiny bit more power until the cat melts or the bores wear out. On the other hand if it's a turbocharge engine or Honda VTEC you may well get limited boost/no VTEC activation which will lose considerable amounts of power.

Again, utter, utter cak.

Running an engine richer will lose power not gain it.

It must differ with TDi engines or something, i cant make any perminent mods to mine thanks to it being company, but the resistor of doom DEFINATELY makes a noticable difference, its a lot lot faster.

oh god I had forgotten about the electric chargers and turbos.

we really really need to find someone to try this and rolling road with and without :)

I'm considering it for an utter laugh
