Just got another 2 X 4gb corsair xms3 1600mhz memory to go into my z77-dh3 motherboard but once installed I'm having system hanging issues and bsod.

I've ran a men test and no issues shown up. Xmp is enabled in the bios and the bios is Upto date. Anyone got any inkling as to what it can be??

yeah set you cpu/vtt to around 1.10v now and see if its any better,if not try higher around 1.15v

cpu/vtt is for the integrated memory controller inside the cpu, more ram usually needs touch more cpu/vtt voltage

Tried that but still getting issues with windows 10 not wanting to boot :( NTOSKRNL.exe or winload.exe bsod

tried ram in dual mode in both sets of slots and works fine.. just when I add more it throws a wobbler :(

are you on the latest bios for your board? might be worth updating if not (edit nvm you are)

your board dh3?

Yeah dram to 1.65v. It's no biggie as got the ram cheap from the mm. I have a spare z77 d3h board so I may give that a whirl n see if it's an issue with the board.

Altho I'm not sure if both PCI E slots work on the other board >.< or why I have a spare board
