Hi, I'm still using XP but with most newer games using DX11 and reducing support for XP I think it may be time for a change.

As I only use XP I only have 4gig of dual memory installed, if I go to win7 or 8 I think it may well be time to increase my memory.

I'm not sure what the trade off's are though and the impact on my Overclock.

MB P55-UD5
CPU i-5 750 oc @ 3.5 GHz, it will go to 4GHz but does post the odd error when stress testing.

I'm interested in creating a Ramdrive so the more memory the better but I'm a bit vague on this right now, I do like to play Arma2/OA where I'm told it can help.

I believe this is what memory I can install

4 x 1.5V DDR3 DIMM sockets supporting up to 16 GB of system memory
Dual channel memory architecture
Support for DDR3 2200/1600/1333/1066/800 MHz memory modules
Support for non-ECC memory modules
Support for Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) memory modules

Any Advice on this Please?

Thanks Sel.

8GB is ample for gaming, but if you're looking at a Ramdisk then why not go for 16GB. Memory is dirt cheap right now.

8gb is my call too for your uses and that format its fine. 2 x 4gb modules your good to go!!!
