Increasing Memory from 4GB to 6GB

Will I get any improvement by increasing the memory

AMD 965 BE 3.4
Windows 7 64 bit
GTX 460

What do you use it for? For everyday use/gaming all reviews I have seen show little if any gain. I am currently building two new machines both will have 4GB RAM.

As far as i have seen, it goes like this:

1Gb to 2GB....Huge increase

2gb to 4GB.....some increase

4GB to 6GB......minor increase.

But only go for 6 if your PC does triple channel (or make sure it's two sticks for dual channel mode!)
