My Asus P5WDH allows me to change the speed of the PCI-E bus, is this a good idea? and am i likely to see any increases in speed?

Many thanks

No don't touch it, its there for solving problems not performance.

I heard a while back a company called sparkle were recommending increasing this by about 5-10mhz to try and eliminate stuttering when using 6800 series graphics cards on nforce3 motherboards.

leave alone :)

Sometimes raising it can help you get a slightly higher fsb. Its not a given though.
iirc setting ATI chipsets to 101MHz, and 105MHz for NF4 chipsets.

In general leave this alone, and only change it small amounts if really necessary. Its not really recomended.
