Currently the master socket to the house is downstairs, there is a 2 way splttter plugged into it. One side of the splitter has a microfilter on it and the downstairs phone is plugged into that to be filtered, the other side of the splitter goes upstairs to a socket. Another microfilter is plugged directly into this with the ADSL running off the ADSL side of the microfilter and another phone extension and 2 phones running off the Phone side, so everything is filtered....

The filter upstairs should be ok filtering 2 phones over an extension shouldnt it?

The main question is...using a splitter like this on the master socket is that a bad idea? can you get high quality ones at all?

Thinking of changing the microfilters from generics to XF-1e ones....

Any advice appreciated , suggestions also

Would it be worth putting the microfilter directly into the master socket, splitting the Phone side to run the main phone and the exisiting extension JUST for phones....

And then run another cable from the ADSL side of the filter upstairs, something like Belkin High Speed Internet Modem Cable RJ11 Male to RJ11 Male 7.5m?

Thanks
