ok, help!

i have posted before about my memory probs - got 2 x Geil Value dual channel 1gb (512mb x 2) kits. can insert 3 sticks and system is fine, try to use all 4 sticks, and any games or memory-hungry apps crash.

emailed Abit (mobo) technical support, they suggest that it may require the voltage to be increased to provide stability. currently running at default 2.6v, and i know the memory can go to 2.99v.

just wanted to know whether by changing voltage i would have to change anything else? (have read many posts where people change CPU seetings too to compensate for other changes - not really 100% on this!)

Abit AN8 Ultra
AMD 64 3200 (939)

ok, just d/led Memtest - but now confused. from what i have read, there are 9 tests to choose from! which do i run? what do they all mean (i have tried reading about them, but it means little at the mo  )

ok, run 2 passes of the standard test (all 9 tests), with no errors.
decided to change the configuration setting "Memory Sizing" to BIOS - All. oh dear. had a massive list of red errors (was upto 850,000 when i stopped it)

have i done it wrong, or is this just memtest telling me one that one of the ram sticks is knackered?!
