Incredible 3d Software bargain. Project Messiah $10 or Pro $40!

The 3D animation and rendering software MessiahStudio and MessiahStudio Pro are being offered for an unspecified time for $10 and $40 respectivly so long as enough people buy it (full price that it usually sells for is $499 and $1195). This is actually pro software, not just something claiming to be. They seem to be running this offer untill a fixed number have sold, and at that point, all the licences will be issued.

For those interested in this sort of thing then you already probably know of it, but worth mentioning in case.

I can't find any mention of what happens if they don't meet the goal? Do people get a refund?
 
I'm tempted by this, but yeah its not very clear. What happens if they dont fullfill the numbers do you have to pay the full amount.
 
Well the progress bar has been moving along since I purchased it a few hours ago. It seems to be mentioned in all the usual places (http://www.3dworldmag.com/3dworld-forum/showthread.php?t=580, http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=59&t=955550 etc) along with software specific news sites and forums. So I can't see it taking more than a week at this rate. And the more people who know about it the quicker it will happen. (I'm hoping quicker as I'm enjoying a week off)
ninja edit. I think if they don't sell enough the licences don't get issued. And people will need to argue a refund at some point. But the bar has been moving along since I posed the original post earlier.

Well they have now added "In the event the goal is not met, we will simply refund everyone."
At the time of writing this, the progress bar is up to the end of the S in Dare to Share. So you can now all compare how the bar has progressed.
 
Wow, seems like a cracking deal for anyone who might need the software. If I didn't have my hands full trying to teach myself css, cs5 and a ton of other crap I'd pick up a copy just to mess with!
 
Done! Its only £25 squids to have a play around with. Hopefully we will hit the target soon. I wish photoshop would do something like this.

Looks to be about 80-85%. Not long left.

Used as the main software to animate the Jimmy Neutron movie. Used for Robbie Williams and Gorrilaz music videos.

What's the deal with the usage dropdown? Personal/business/school/other.

Do I need to select business if I might use this professionally or is it who the product is licensed to?

I don't think there is a difference with the license I think the option is there just for stats for the company to see who is using the software.
 
Bought the Pro version.

Not sure why. Never done any 3D work, but hopefully, if this is nice and easy to use, I will, and will be nice new creative outlet.

Me too buddy, for £25 it can't go too badly. Something to have a play with when im bored.
