Hi Guys

We have a very cool upcoming platform from AMD in the office that Gibbo has been testing today, it overclocks like a demon and best of all, plays the latest games at decent resolutions from its onboard graphics!!!

We cant disclose too much info about it at the moment but im sure the majority of you will be able to use your Google-Fu to work out what it is

This is running a 1680x1050 resolution on Borderlands 2 at max settings.

But they're both better.
It's more akin to a GT640 when clocked.

£100 better? like i said its the same "good enough" argument that sank the RISK vendors back in the 90's.

Doesn't have to be as good it just has to make the alternative not worth the extra cost.

EDIT: added hyperlink for those lucky enough to not remember the 90's

I think your argument is fallible.
I get your point, but if you need more performance you still need to pay the extra for it, be it worth it or not.

I think it makes the GT640/75XX (To an extent the 76XX) defunct (When on a budget), but certainly wouldn't say it makes the 7770 defunct, nor the 650. If you need a GFX card and they fall in the price region you need, it's not like you have a choice, you can't simply buy a Trinity as a solution to everything.
