Incredible turnaround by MS!!

So I posted my Xbox on Monday after having RROD, they recieved the item and are sending it back to me already!!! Can't track it with UPS yet but this just seems so fast it's unbelievable. I might even have it back by Friday!! :eek:

So what's likely to have happened, are they that quick at repairing hardware now or is it likely to be a new system? Not sure about all this just impressed with the time taken so far!!

What can I say - they have had a lot of practice :p

To be fair mine from launch is going strong, but a friend had his break, sent it back, they sent it back messed up, he sent it back, and they sent it back finally fixed.
 
Im impressed with MS customer service.

Had a launch day console that got the RROD after 12months so that got replaced then on tuesday that console also got the RROD. Its way way out of warranty but after a phone call to customer services it was picked up yesterday and is getting repaired free :)
 
Took me from Feb 3rd to 20th March to get my xbox collected, replaced and sent back to me.

I should have complained and got a free game like others do :( They sent me a replacement console and it was a Xenon model too. boo (yeah I know, I'm not entitled to a model better than the one I had but still..)
 
yup so far i have only year man my xbox has been with sony 2 months :( hahaha

Sony has replaced my PS2 about 4 times on my doorstep and have had NO problem with my PS3 yet.
 
what annoys me is that if my jasper model ever breaks im going to be sent an ancient noisy zephyr or falcon replacement.
 
I had a week turnaround with my 360 end of feb when it rrod for the 2nd time.

However, the one I have got back now has the problem my original had where every now and again you turn it on and get error 74 and 1 red light :/

If mate buys second ahnd xbox, so there third owner are they still covered by warrenty with ms even?

You sent your xbox to Sony? No wonder you haven't had it back :p

I think Microsofts turnaround time is now significantly reduced due to the fact that the consoles are more reliable. This time last year masses were failing with E74 & RROD errors(mostly due to age) and totally overwhelmed their service departments.

I was thinking this but thought I might be tempted to get the Red Elite, in which case there would be no option but send a jasper in return. But has been already stated the PSU is different anyway.

Yes, as long as it's within the 3 years for the red ring warranty it doesn't matter how many owners it's had.
