Incredible turnaround by MS!!

Quick question as mine has just died (:(). Do I have to send the power supply off with it aswell or is it just the xbox itself I have to send?

This seems logical place to ask

If mate buys second ahnd xbox, so there third owner are they still covered by warrenty with ms even?

not if the console has already been registered with orginal owner. If it hasn't then you'll be fine as you'll then be registering your details, if it has been registered then they use that for return shipping details hence then they don't have to honor a warrenty on a 2nd hand console

Just the 360 itself needs to be sent off. Don't send any cables, hard drives, memory cards or your HDTV. Just the 360 console. If you forgot to take off your hard drive, Microsoft will likely format it.

Ok, so I'ev got it back after it being left with a neighbour for a few days lol, it says it's a new system with a new serial number, in order to get a fast turnaround. So I'm guessing it's a reconditioned unit, is this correct? Seems slightly quieter not sure, but then my system was a launch manufactured one. Now says service date as opposed to manufactured date on the back.

The one month free of live was a nice gesture.

What should i do with mine? I sold my old one to a friend about a year ago (was new), now it's red ringed. I was on-line with it (does this mean it's registered?), it's still under 3yrs old and i don't think he has been on-line with it.
Can he send it with his details, or do i have to?
Thanks.

I got a replacement console sent back to me in 10 days.
I would be over the moon but the "new" one will not read any disks!:mad:
I rang them up and they are going to send me a "special" box to send it back to the repair centre and for my troubles an extra months live...gee thanks:(
So i have to wait 5 working days to get the box then a further 10 days minimum to get it repaired again
The waiting on the phone to speak to a real person was the most annoying but at least they were very apologetic
NOT HAPPY
