One '65 Dodge Coronet convertible. Looks nice and safe. Something you could cruise around at low speeds in.

But....why is it wearing wide slicks at the back?

And why does it have a manual ratchet shifter?

Oh. That's why.

:D

472 ci Hemi, with all the right bits. Power going through a 3spd 727 auto with manual valve body and a 9" torque convertor to a 4:10 limited slip diff'. Auction has a BIN of a little over $60k....a bargain, given what some people are paying for hot Hemi cars right now.

That's fantastic :D

Beautiful big block power - I'd love it. Nice subtle looks, bit OTT on the rear but justified though :D

What does the little red button on the gear shift do?

Probably a trans brake - locks the transmission by selecting 1st and reverse simultaneously, so you can rev the engine up to a defined limit and when you release, or press, the button - whoooooosh!

Useful for staging - because, unlike holding your foot on the brake, you don't have to worry about the car nudging forwards over the line - as it can't go anywhere :)

Where are the cupholders

Don't think they came in until '66.

thepharcyde - as Mohinder says, he's got a lot of rubber out the back there to fit in (Goodyear DragWay specials, 30x11.5/15). Besides, it'll certainly squat down a tad when it launches. And with an engine like that, every time you accelerate is a launch.

AcidHell2 - that engine + your car would certainly be cool....

One order of engine and drivetrain... hold the rest of the body though...

Loving the idea, but the car itself aint my cup of tea lookswise...
