Hi OCUK Mods just wondering why you guys don't stock this Item.

Been reading up on it and I must say it looks very good.

Had to order it form Bonny Scotland though as no where sells it.

Will report back once installed let you know how it performs.

Well my Indego Extreme has arrived, just need to wait for my EK block to turn up them we can test this baby out.

No one else ever heard of it?

I've been meaning to use mine for a while with my EK block but just haven't got around to it yet.. maybe on my next day off.

Ok well, I'll start off with the overall feeling I have regarding this product. It is IMO not worth the effort or the £16 premium for what this product does.

I applied the first pad/IET and ran the process for starting reflow, temps straight away hit 98ish accross all cores, this is normal accroding to the instructions. then your supposed to see a dip in temps before they climb up again, so I wait and wait and wait. by this time 10 mins has passed and I am using water block so it's supposed to happen quick , basicaly my coolant is now starting to boil!! Plexi block allows me to see this. get that pump on quick....!

So not confident that this has worked I dissasemble and check out how it did. Answer not too good only half the heatsink was re-flowed to coin a phrase. Also most of the metal had seeped backwards out of the assembly :O , So having another application I re did the whole process again, this time the only difference is I made sure the water block was evenly torsioned all round (by measuring the thread). So round 2 exactly the same thing happend regarding the reflow proceedure, blink and you'd miss it. So after I stared the pump again temps seemed rather good. I got my overclock going and again temps seemed good , got some Prime 95 going all cores in the low 60 to high 50's pretty neat I thought. But here's the killer I just was not confident that this had re-flowed and worked as it should have, I mean you have no way of knowing if it is successful the instructions although comprehensive don't follow true to your experience. So I shut her down again, and when I took the water block off It had re-flowed perfectly, Typical so I have just blown the seal on the one that worked!!

So having no applications left and having nearly half baked my lovely i5 760 (these things are tuff I tell ya) I have no more than experience and an expensive-ish experiment. Also some metal did get in and around the CPU socket but no harm done thank god. I have applied some NT-H1 now and guess what my temps are, yep high 50s-low 60s!!!!

Let this be a leeson to you all ....

Was an interesting episode but please stick to your IC diamond MX-series or AC5 what ever your poison.

Did it improve your temps on the good application compared to previous paste?

Shame you took the block off the 2nd time.

Well yes and no, yes they were a few degrees lower so good, but after being very precise with applying the NT-H1 temps are the same as the IE.

So my previous TIM must have been badly applied and also not so good.
