Indentification of my AMD CPU??

Hi All

I have a problem with my MSI K8N Neo Plat MB - see other posting. If I cant get if fixed I will need some advice on replacing it with an alternative.

When my Brother and I put this pc together we originally tried an Abit 3rd Eye MB that would not work for some reason - I was told that it was becuase the AMD 64 CPU that I was using was a particular type.

Is there a way of identifying it from the following info stamped on the CPU

AMD Athlon 64
ADA300DIK4BI
CBBHD d450APBW
116397L 406160

Also I' be gratefull for any / all advice on an alternative MB (AGP slot preferred)

It's a Winchester 3000+ apparently.

Yep. Btw, a BIOS update on the AV8 would've solved that issue. Years ago i had a whole load of about 11 brand spanking new AV8s for a job and all the cpus were brand spanking new to England Winchester core 3200+s and nothing worked Had to go around with a 3500+ Newcastle and flash em all to the newer BIOS and they worked fine since.
