indentify a mellow song based on limited info

there's a song i sometimes hear on mellow magic. no idea of the words, name, who sang it, all i can remember is one bit of the instruments which is going to be hard to type out here.

the words i'm not sure on but i think it goes something like the below. the words are all spoken very softly by a male, and there's never anything with much volume in the song, it's just simple throughout same pace, calm soft song.

"she will make you cryyyy"
der na na na naaaaa
"she will walk on byyyyy"
der na na na naaaaa

thanks but it's way more mellow than that. the closest thing i can think of to the pacing and instruments is al green how can you mend a broken heart. how it's just almost like he's talking rather than signing.
