How do you change the page colour in InDesign without drawing a box and filling it with colour? There must be a way to set a master page to black.

Make a box on the master page and make it Black.

Make sure the master page is applied to all pages.

Thats it.

problem with that method is you can't drag select when you override the master slide which I'm having to do for page titles. Its getting annoying. Was wondering if there was a way to change the page by default instead of the box.

1. Draw in your coloured box covering the whole page to create your background colour.

2. Lock the layer

3. Create a new layer

4. Stick your content in the new layer, you can drag away to your heart's content without the background layer being selected.

Thanks will do that! Should solve the issue.
