Gaming X doesn't have 3.1 Gen internal header through the small A Key cable . Elite does, you'll see it underneath the ram or around about .

USB 3.1 is a bit of a mess with different ports and connections as well as generations :/

I havent yet. i was wondering if i ought to wait for the new MSI x570 tomahawk, which might be out in a couple of weeks. also, two of my items in the basket are out of stock, the case and the wifi card (msi mobo would negate the need for the wifi card).

Which card would that be? the 2070 super gaming? i'm not seeing the price having changed since you first suggested it...

EDIT: i have put the order in for the valve index though, given the lead time, i thought sooner the better.

Got the money, but not wise to throw it all in the wind currently . Always good to plan, but how long do you sit on the plan :(

Resellers will jump at pound rates, stock and hardware chatter .

Bought the monitor and ram (from OCUK)...i cant be having that monitor go up £200

bought the 3700x for £268 (the 3800x was available for £303 but even that didnt seem as much as a bargain given the minute jump)

  • graphics card probably going to be the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER GAMING OC 3X WHITE but it's £540 (obviously not here)
  • mobo (i'll leave it to the last minute in case the MSI toma comes out or i'll get the X570 AORUS ELITE or Pro Wifi)
  • maybe the that gigabyte wifi card, depending on if wifi onboard mobo or if i'm going to be wired
 
If you can get elite at good deal with Aorus wifi6 at £40 you save a nice little bundle of.

Toma will be a while, even rep doesn't know on here . US and Asia have first dibs as well as easier to ship to , then throw in Covid 19 :/
