Index Vouchers?

I think I posted this question a few months ago, but I can't remember the answer, nor can I find the thread, so...

I have a few Index vouchers, but since Index is now closed, are they any use? I heard they could be used at Argos or something?

I think they might be valid. Saying that Littlewoods may accept them too.

Think Index belonged to Littlewoods group. Try them, see what they say.

Yes, they were. Littlewoods are now online/catalogue-only of course (Primark now owns all the former shops).

They weren't selling enough acrylic jumpers and nylon shirts to the over 60's and withdrew fron the High Street. And sold out to Primark.

Argos aquired a lot of Index stores, not sure whether or not they aquired the actual company tho.

As Littlewoods were the parent company, contact them and ask them where if anywhere you can use your vouchers

According to the argos info page Linky this is the address to contact regarding any outstanding orders, so you could give them a try. Sadly no phone no or email though.

Ok, I must have been dreaming when I spent a few months installing IT equipment in several converted Index stores for Argos.

There will probably be a limit on how long they accept vouchers for so be careful you don't run out of time

Just been to Argos - they said that they did accept them during a "grace" period of 2 weeks after they took them over, but that was ages ago

Who do you work for?

I work for Siemens. Amongst many other customers, I fix the IT kit at Argos.

They bought the shops, not the business. Buying the business means you buy the name, assets. etc, therefore my post is correct.
