As above, can anyone recommend one? Something classy would be nice, but it's the quality of the food that matters more. (Also are there any "western" cinema's there?)

Hmmm cant say ive ever seen any classy indian places there, they tend to be the fast food type takeaways etc.

The only one i can recommend is Giftos, which is a very popular and busy place. Go there quite often when im down that way as i know the guy who owns it very well..family friend and i dont pay to eat there:D. Plus their lamb chops are the best i have ever tasted.

Cinema wise??...hmmm the only one i know of is that big one thats owned by some asian dude...doesnt look western to me at all and is usually full of drunken asians causing all sorts of problems from what i have seen.

if you know where glassy junction is, go from there towards the broadway, near kfc is a restruant. opposite the indian cinema. i cant remember the name of it but you will easily spot it!

if you dont know where glassy is, stand outside the train station facing away and walk right, carry on down that road is galssy further along is the restruant

there is giftos and a couple of others, they are ok but not really classy, more family dinner type places.

What's a "western" cinema? One that only shows Westerns? One that shows Western hemisphere films? A cinema specialising in Bollywood (although doesn't sound like it to me)? Got me confused! :p

in southall you have a cinema which just shows bollywood films.

some cinemas show both but mainly western others show all western films

I'll never recall the street name, but the Roxy Tandoori is amazing. It's a north indian place, but my family (south indians) have eaten their veggie food for about 30 years now!

I agree, Roxy is a good place. I am part south indian and enjoy the veggie restaurants in Southall more than the others.
