Hi Guys..

I'm looking to finally get myself a new laptop after 8 years of struggling with my trusty Compaq Presario (Athlon4 1Ghz POWAH!!) and I've trolled all the various sites, got as much info as possible and I've finally cut my list down to two models!...

I'm drawn toward the Samsung.. but the Acer has a mashoosive screen, although both are 1920x1080 res...

out of the two which would you go for!.. or is there a similar specced lappy for about a grand (£1100 MAX) out there that trumps both of these!!?..

The only difference I can see is the processor and the graphics card, and the screen on the Acer of course. Personally I'd go for the Acer for the slightly better graphics card. I looked at the Ultima Mobile 15.4 on Overclockers but bar a better graphics card it's not better than these two, albeit a tad cheaper.

Oooo annother one has just popped up on Radar!..

HP HDX-18-1005EA Same sort of Spec as the Acer but 2x 250Gb Hard Drives and Vista 64bit... so it'll use ALL of the 4Gb RAM.. I've seen it for £1070 so its within budget!.. the confusion with it though is on the HP website it says its got a DVB-T tuner built in but looking at some resellers it makes no mention!...

Now I've got 3 to choose from!!...
