Indoor grill or BBQ

Hi all,

I'm looking for some advise, me and my family like bbq and grilled food but with good old British weather I don't get to use the bbq much, We are redoing the kitchen so I was wondering if anyone know of a good indoor bbq/grill im not looking for a george foreman grill.

any options ?

If you've got the money, I believe you can have a decent charcoal grill in the kitchen but it'll need a lot of fan extraction. I think both of the Michelin star restaurants in my area have green eggs in their kitchens (I think Danial Clifford has even been used in some of their promotional material.)

I use my BBQ in all weather really. It's just outside the patio door, it's a Weber so it's covered when cooking, so you really just have to light it (with a chimney it's no problem, even if it rains) and go out every 15 minutes to check/turn stuff... use a rain hat, and that's it!

I cooked 6Kg xmas hams last winter in late December, it's not that much of a problem really...

Only sensible option is http://www.appliancesdirect.co.uk/p/pgf30b/smeg-pgf30b-1-zone-lava-stone-grill-hob (someone must make a gas version) obviously only grills, can't do slow cook BBQ.

Just need a good extractor that covers it and the hob.

You need commercial level fan extraction to operate a BGE indoors, standard kitchen fan extractors won't be anywhere near powerful enough. So unless he lives in a restaurant, that's probably not an option.

You might end up dying of C02 poisoning without the proper extraction, every now and then you hear of it happening even with BBQ's that people pull into their tents etc after putting them out.

I've got a nice leg of lamb I'm going to BBQ tonight in fact. Get a hat, thats all you need :-)
