I got My induction kit and heatshield fitted to My V6 Mondeo so i thought i would show you a few pics. I still need to hook up the cold air feed from the front grill but it still has the standard feed that comes through the wing. It sounds great when you nail the throttle and feels more reponsive I love it.

Looks good, at least you got the heatshield, V6 enginebay is an evil place for heat behind that battery. They sound awesome on the V6.
Worth doing is to reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery overnight, makes it learn the increased airflow better.

Yeah it's a good job you used the heatshield round the filter. Imagine what that strut tower would be doing to the air temperature otherwise :D

My thoughts exactly, it's not shielding the cone from engine heat there is it?

Looks ace, its a decent distance away from the engine which should help but it doesn't look like its going to get much air there. Where does the stock intake system suck air from?

it is as there is no gap between the battery and the shield so it's pretty much closed off from the engine.

the heatshield cost me £50 and the induction kit was £60 so not that expensive :)

hardly air tight though lol not sure i could bring myself to spend £50 on what was basically a shaped sheet of metal.

i have put my cone filter in a 6" diameter pipe and then ran the pipe into the wing. i therefore have a completely sealed intake system breathing cold air from the wing. hardly cost a thing lol

Maybe instead of spending all your money on big bhp mods you need to sort out what you have all ready got like the big 3 for your ice set-up
What’s the point in having a 4gage wire going to your boot when..
1: your ground wire from car body to battery is stock
2: your ground to engine is stock
3: your +12v wire from alternator to battery is stock
+ Every join you have in that 4gage wire you will loose on average 0.5v so before you even get power out of your engine bay it has lost 1.5v with that stupid volt meter you have got under there that tells you nothing when your in the car with the stereo on.
+ The fuse is in the wrong place it needs to be no more than 6inch from your battery terminal.
+ The wire must be secured every 6inch not just past behind the battery holder and on coolant hoses.
Any way back to the speed mods make it stop and handle better before you start trying to make it go better. I.e. bigger/better brakes and suspension upgrades and better tyres.
But then I can think of better things to spend £110 on than a ford. (Vaux 4tw)

p.s
Are ford that cheap that they cannot paint the inside of the engine bay?

2.5 and V6’s…………. I love to race

I'll do the big 3 when i decide my system needs it my lights don't dim with big basslines so the stock wires must be coping when that changes i'll upgrade them.

the power meter maybe abit pointless tbh but it came in the kit so that what i used And it isn't losing me 1.5v as it shows 14v going though it with the engine running and i'm getting 13.5v at the amps :)

The fuse isn't wrong it suppose to be with in 18" of the battery and before it goes though the bulk head and the wire isn't going anywhere.

it stop just fine thanks and the handling is being upgraded soon with poly bushes and the shocks and springs from the st200. And i'm running on Pirelli P-zero Nero tyres you can't get much better then that. :)

so what part of the engine isn't painted exactly

And i wouldn't drive a vauxhall if you paid me to :p :D
