Inexpensive Strong Beer/Lager

Hi

Despite the bad reputation. I used to enjoy the occasional can of Carlsberg Special Brew... Unfortunately it is not quite the same since they reduced the alcohol content. So my question is, where can I find a good replacement of lager/beer that is 8.5% or above without having to resort to pretentious 'barley wine' type craft beers which cost about £5 per bottle on a good day.

It needs to come in a can, not bottles.

Yeah, that would be awesome. Can guarantee it isn't available in UK though because of the stigma associated with strong beer and stupid taxation.

Need to be an absolute minimum of 440ml. I have been putting together a URS for my needs and it is as follows

1) Alcohol content > 8.5% (preferably closer to 10%)
2) Serving = a can of 440ml or greater
3) Cost per serving less than £2

Please stick to this URS when making further suggestions.

Have opted to try some Kestrel Super Strength (9%). Amazon do delivery on 24 cans so can avoid having to go to the local booze shop to pick some up.

This has tickled my fancy but was hoping for something closer to £2 a can than over £3, I think tax massively kicks in at 10%+... Still, it is delivered, and 12% seems like a good place to be, might order a pack.
