Anyone got a cost efficient, tasty way of making flapjacks? Got a sudden hankering for that soft chewy goodness.

Already got oats, just need a decent (cheap) recipe.

Thanks

Can't remember where exactly I got it from but I've used this.

195g butter
185g brown sugar
100ml golden syrup
400g rolled oats

In a 20cm x 30cm baking tin, in the oven at 175c for 25 minutes, and it tasted pretty good.

When it's done being in the oven, cover it with tin foil until cool so it keep the moisture in.

whack some mixed dried fruit in as well for some added goodness. The bags are quite cheap from any old supermarket and you don't need loads so the rest can be saved for your next batch.

same as above but put it in the microwave for a few mins instead of the oven in a deep plastic square-ish dish (take-away chinese dishes are perfect)...keep an eye on it once it melts take it out and cool it...then eat....seriously dude this works and is super quick!
