Hi

Had Infinity installed since September and had a steady 38/8.5 profile and ping of around 30 ish on speedtest

A "usual" BT Speedtest was :

I have just swapped out to a DrayTek 2850n and had a nice speed bump on the upload :

But over the weekend my speeds (up and down) have severly decreased and my ping increased by around 10ms

Speedtest.net gives wildy fluctuating reults (down to 12 meg or so upto 32 ish and usaylly around mid 20s dowload and anyting from 1.5 to 7 upload) - regardless of what test I use it is all over the place and a lot lower than I have enjoyed since September

Last BT Test I took is:

I have tried swapping / reseating all cables / connections and even swapped back over to the OR modem and HH3 - The performance is just the same

Could this be a service problem?

Router stats pages is currently:

Can anyone help, I want my speed back :(

Cheers

Hi

I haven't hacked the modem, so can only post info from the HH page, will these help and what is it you want ?

TB: Funny you got speed issues, had engineer in last week for line fault & now UL is a consistent 5.25mb, previous 8.25mb, DL was a steady 37mb, but now it's up & down, lowest 30mb.
Despite rebooting HH3 & modem, & leaving it for several days untouched, I cannot get back to my old figures.
So, I think it's more exchange related issue, as BT speed tester (http://speedtester.bt.com/) won't even run, get an error message coming up.

EDIT: Had a good moan at BT this afternoon, BT Tester is now working, BUT my UL is now 5.05mb & DL is 35mb, something is not right, must be exchange issue.

Lighters, Bath, Somerset, my connection has been rock solid UL 8.25mb & DL 37mb for months until last week, when I had a line fault & cabinet issue.
I'm on 40mb DL, 10mb UL & unlimted downloads @ £25 per month.

@Nightglow -BT Community forum reckon it may be DLM due to number of resets and may have to wait a few days to weeks for the line to stabalise :S - If it doesn't in teh next few days im ginna try and get BT to do a profile reset

@ Lighters - Cheshire and I pay

BT Line Rental - £14.60 p/m
Infinity 40 meg Option 2 unlimited and Unlimited Anytime Calling plan (phone and net package) - £29.40 p/m

lol - some quite different results, but BT speedchecker seems to be getting better but as you can see from my speedtest history nowhere near "normal" :|
