Hi, anyone got one of these? looking for a normal car and noticed the Q30 seemed like you get a lot for what you pay........

From research they are more or less a reskinned Mercedes CLA but around half the price, whats the catch? or is it just a case of they have pulled out of the UK and it puts people off?
Looking mainly at the 1.6 turbo engine.

Example:

Am I being daft considering one or genuine bargain?

I did hire a Q50 in the States a good few years ago and liked it.

They do look like they're good value for money. Parts availability could be an issue though.

From what I've read parts no problem due to the Mercedes thing.....

The parts availability problem is generally due to, especially smaller garages, not being aware that many parts are basically just Nissan, Mercedes, etc. as appropriate, so that can be an issue - I can't remember the exact details now but I remember someone was quoted like £170 for a belt for one which was the exact same thing as could be bought for other cars for under £20.

You can get some great cars under the Infiniti brand - the caveat really is you have to do your own homework and/or friendly with a good mechanic and/or good with doing stuff on cars yourself so as to avoid the potential complications/avoid unnecessarily paying over the top prices.

My boss had one, the headlights crazed on the inside causing the beam pattern to go all over the place, would have been an MOT fail if it got any worse. New headlights had to come from another country and were £6-800 each. He sold the car.
