I am confused & don't know what to do.
Been having serious issues with Infinity, speed issues, frequent dropped connections, emails being flying back & forth for several weeks to Ian livingstone & others, finally last week, they changed the ports in the cabinet, which initially improved the speed up to 46/6.9Mb from around 34/ 3.2Mb or less, but I still occasionally get dropped connections, & also need to reboot router to get speed back up.
But the upload is starting to fall again due to line stability issues, I'm about 750mtrs from cabinet.
Been trying to get moved to a closer pole, which reduces the distance to cabinet to around 330mtrs, BT,Openreach says I will not see any improvement in ul/dl speed, but neighbour who is on the pole gets around 62/12Mb.
Looking on BT site, they have a offer of £40 for a new line, instead of £130, so I suggested having new line from the closer pole, & stopping existing line, Openreach totally refused to install a new line, despite spare pairs being available on the other pole.
Question- would you be satisfy with paying £26 per month for the existing speed & occasional problems, even though higher speeds were available on another pole only 50' from your house?
Sky fibre is available, & I'm tempted to jump ship, but I presume I would still suffer from reliability problems.
BT says service is within acceptable limits, tempt to write to the Openreach CEO.
