info on cable size

hi all i am looking at extending my fan cables to terminal blocks to remove all 3 pin fan connectors i have got 27 gage wire for this will that be big enough have also got standard molex cable think its 18 gage for extending my pcie cables and cables on my 1200w psu corsair will this also be big enough

Provided you don't daisy chain the 27 AWG cable should be sufficient for standard fans. It's pretty thin though so if I were doing this sort of thing I'd probably use 24 AWG which is roughly twice as think.


18 AWG on PCI-e wiring is typically what PSUs have already so that's fine too.
