Info on dragon age?

I've been pondering over whether to buy dragon age or not and was hoping people could give me a little info.

1) Are there hundreds of items ala old skool rpg style, with hundreds of various stats - or just a few basic items like biowares other recent title ME2.

2) Can you equip your party out in various gear you pick up along the way and is this gear character specific or interchangable between characters?

3) Do you have much choice in who joins and fights in your party throughout the game or are you given several story characters to play through the game along side?

4) Do you get to allocate your allies attribute/skill points, or just your own?

5) Are you required to carry hundreds of potions around with you much like the rpgs of olde?

6) In order to make enough cash for new quip are you required to trek back and forth to merchants selling dropped lewt, again, like the rpgs of yester-year?

1) standard rpg i think, 6 attributes per character.

2) yes and yes

3) you recruit various characters at different points although you don't have to take them along if you fancy playing solo although its much more difficult

4) you allocate all of your team member's stats when they gain levels

5) not really, your characters heal outside of battle and most battles you shouldn't need to use potions in

6) no, you'll pick up most money by looting corpses.

It shouldnt even be a choice really you MUST buy Dragon Age

but
1. Theres a lot of items with different stats depending from where and what part of the game you get them from

6. Gold is easy to come by so not really

play your cards right in dialogue/actions and you can get some hot girl on girl action

What other rpgs have you played? Could compair it to them.
Its good, but its not as fun as some other rpgs ive played, i.e. Temple of Elemental evil, Witcher and Baldurs Gate.

You might want to wait for a wee while, there is supposed to be an Ultimate edition coming out with all of the DLC included.
