Info on HDMI cables?

Ok so I was Googling and read that if I use a hdmi 2.1 over a length larger than 3M I lose the bandwidth?

Can anyone confirm this?

my computer is about 4m away so I’ll need around 5m cable.

would this need an active hdmi 2.1 cable?

This is for 4k at 120hz

The specification does not indicate a cable length. Cable length depends on many factors including cable type and construction. Based on early testing in the UHS Cable program, it is expected that passive cables of 5 meters will be achievable.
