So we should get 128GB drives by the end of the year, that's the kind of size needed to make them practical.

Well that's bigger than most of the Raptors when they came out, biggest thing now is the speed/price:-

but if read speeds of 120MB/sec and write speeds of 90MB/sec are to be believed then that rocks

I bet they will cost the earth, two of the 16gb ones in RAID0 would be a great boot drive!

In fairness, they don't say which "fourth quarter" - be a while yet before they're worth taking several seconds off boot-time in value terms.
Or, for that matter, stressed under raid. goodness knows this looks good for all system-builders, but I believe its early-adopter-only right now unfortunately.
