Information display for IT status

I have been given the task of setting up a system for displaying information on current IT issues. This is to be displayed on a monitor mounted to the wall.

I was wondering if anyone knew of any software that is designed for this purpose. I have not been very successful in finding any information on this area.

depends on what 'IT issues'

Are you tracking stuff from remedy or PVCS et al or are you monitoring systems ?

Google for tcp/ip network service monitoring etc

Nagios is the old timers favourite

What do you mean by displaying information from current IT issues, like show current support tickets submitted?..... that kind of thing?

If you're build a system thats hooked upto a network and a support ticket system might be suitable.

Might be more beneficial if you could be specific about what you need.

Sorry, I wasn't being quite specific.

It wont be too sophisticated, just a display of current outages, probably displayed from a web site.

"Current Issues:

Network Link down to XXX"

so you want a pc that has a monitor that you can mount to a wall that can display a website?
