looking forward to your reply hope somebody can help i ve done quite abit of research on painting cases just need to clearly a few things.

good! I'm not an expert, but I think you will need to sand down to bare metal, then self etching primer,
there should be vids on yt?

There is no need to sand to bare metal. Self etching prime is only needed on bare metal, especially aluminium. Plastic requires different product than metal... Although some paints and primers work on both.

guys i have 1 one issue and thats to with compatibility issue with primer and paint ill explain further.

has some of you may now that the cosmos has his made of three different materials, outer shell plastic and aluminum, inner-shell stainless steal.

ive been reading some articles saying that for aluminum you should use etch primer and for some plastic you should not need to use primer but im gong to use it any way.

Primer im going to use for type of material -- aluminum , plastic, steel

aluminum and steel
the brand im going to use for the aluminum is duplicolour ---------> http://www.duplicolor.com/products/selfEtchingPrimer/.

plastic

but for the plastic duplocolcour does not have specific primer for plastic they do have this -------> http://www.duplicolor.com/products/sandablePrimer/

unlike krylon who do have this for the plastic ------> http://www.thepaintstore.com/Krylon_Fusion_For_Plastic_p/k02320.htm

compatibility issue with paint coat on primer

my issue is that if i use two different types and brands of primer i.e krylon fusion plastic and duplicolour etch primer will this cause compatibility issue with the duplicolour enamel paint, and also i have read that if i use two types of primers that i should cover up both primers with top coat of regular primer.

so i was thinking i could use the above link products dupli etch and krylon fusion and then use the final primer coat of this product http://www.duplicolor.com/products/sandablePrimer/ for final primer coat because im going to be using this paint by duplicolour ------> http://www.duplicolor.com/products/premiumEnamel/. so i should have no compatibility issue.

so guys i suggestion or advise

edit p.s where could i get the duplicolour paints from the uk been searching but cant find retailer who supply them.

There are paint gremlins same as computer gremlins. I've done 8 coats of paint from primer to 2 color coats and when I did the 3rd color coat it went south. All paint for same supplier. They couldn't figure it out, their suppliers had no idea or any suggestions as to why. Gave us all materials to strip and start over and second time we had no problems. Feces occurs.

guys where can i purchase the duiplocolour paint and primer in the uk, ive tried halfords and b&q searched the web too no luck if any one knows a retailer in the uk where i can buy theses please provide link. thankyou
