Hello chaps.
The past month or so i've been having a tremendously annoying problem with my computer. Intermittently (every few hours probably) i will lose connectivity to the internet, and the ability to connect to my router.
Initially i thought this was a problem with the router i was using (a netgear dg834pn) so i got another one, a speedtouch 585 v6. Yet the problem remains, so i thought that the problem lay with wireless (i had been using a netgear wg111 v2 usb stick). So i am now plugged in using cable, however this problem has recurred.
I have absolutely no idea why this is happening, all i know is that after a restart the computer connects fine and it fixes the problem, temporarily at least. The other computer has no problems as far as i'm aware, and is using the wg111 v2 also.
So for some reason there is something that makes my computer lose connectivity after a certain period of time (could be 2 hours, could be a day) i don't believe it is due to p2p or torrents, as it will occur when they are not being used.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Many thanks,
Ganesh.
