ingame sound

im play world of warcraft regularly and have started talking whilst playing using team speak and ventrillo. both are ok and where working no problems, ive done a complete reinstall and when i connect via either all they get is the game noise ie if my character says hello they can here it but not me.

my realtech drivers are completely upto day but i cant seem to make any headway on this problem. i have all the right connections in the right holes as i havent changed them and they worked before.

So they hear your ingame sound (eg casting spells etc) but not your voice?

I had a similar problem when I installed my sound card, found the problem to be the wrong input selected in ts/vent, also I had to mute my mic at my end as they were getting an echo of my voice. Maybe try play about with ts/vetn settings etc.

Go into control panel,

the sound settings,


then voice,


the click hardware test.. run it all the way through and it should sort it


I get this probelm every time i install windows, doing the test fixes it
