Initial R.A.F. Officer Interview

Just show them your kill ratio on Call Of duty and say you didnt bat an eyelid :D

or when they ask you 'Could you kill someone'
lean forward and stare into their eyes and say ' why, what have you done to annoy me ?'

I remember when i went for my A-level sponsorship interviews, lots of questions about current affairs as you need to know and understand why your being ordered to do something!

Obviously the difference between officers and "grunts" are quite prominent then. My mate's in the Para's, and to be honest they seem to be the knuckle dragging type. He never used to be racist, but is now constantly making racist comments, and the only thing he does on a weekend when he's back home is get slaughtered.

I wouldn't be suprised if my mate answered the "could you kill someone" question with, "NUKE THEM FROM ORBIT!"

It's a scary change, I'll tell you that much.

Hey All,

Thanks for your replies, however useless some of them were :p

I should have been a bit clearer on the intial bit, this turned out to be more of a formal presentation with other Airmen and Non-Com Officers, turns out I was the only one going for Engineering officer there which puts me in good belief that not that many (in relative terms out of the 15 there they were 4 wannabe pilots) applying.

I am quite confident although I am considering shaving my head as my hair isnt the neatest atm, will let you know how that goes tho :)

I thought I would have been asked more questions than what were asked but I think the Flight Lieutenant will be saving that for the interview which on which he makes his recomendations to the OASC.

/edit:- Also while sat there the Army desk had some new recruits there, when asked "does any one have any questions?". One kid replied.

"What type of explosives do we get to play with"

Sitting in the waiting room singing "Alice's Restaurant" is probably not a good idea.

I was thinkin about joining the RAF last year after finishing my degree as an eng officer, but decided to continue and do my masters, still not sure whether ill apply or not when i finish or i could stay at uni and do a PhD...

the only thing that stops me is the fact i want to move to the states, dont supposed they get posted over there.

Are the interviews and assessments all year round ?

was just googling and found this:WANT TO JOIN THE RAF?... u can get a copy and tell me if its a con :p
