Injections

Ugh I'm sat in the doctors awaiting several injections for Thailand. Hate injections, and am scared. Hold me OcUK.

Which ones you having done? I had HepA/Typhoid & Diptheria/Tetanus/Polio done a few weeks back. Was absolutely fine. An influenza vaccination is worse.

HepA/Typhoid & Diptheria/Tetanus/Polio in the left arm, and Hep B/Rabies in the right arm. I need four more injections for HepB/Rabies and possibly 3 more for Japanese Encephalitis if I decide to have it. Hep B/Rabies are optional, as is JE, but there have been outbreaks of Rabies/JE in Thailand recently, and HepB is free so might as well have it done. Rabies/JE are £150 each though!

Bizarre the whole thing - it didn't hurt at all. It's been a long time since I had injections and my younger mind obviously built up a fear of it, but now I know .

Of all the horrible things happening in the world and youre worried about injections?

What a pointless comment to make. People have irrational fears and worries about several things.

I had to have blood tests done the other day, I haven't had anything like that since school, I built it up to be so bad but it only took a minute or so for 6 vials and I hardly felt a thing

The only trouble I have with blood tests is that I feel so faint after it. I'm strongly tempted now to see if I can go and give blood though, I've cured my fear of needles .
