Hello,

Is there a way to turn fans further down than 30%? New build is really quiet apart from GPU fans sat at 1000rpm on desktop...

I assume this is bios related as I've tried fan curve editor in msi afterburner..

Any help is appreciated!

Surely at idle the fans shouldn't be running at all? Have you tried setting the performance option in Nvidia control panel to 'Normal' This should allow the clocks to drop significantly at idle and also 'fan stop' kicks in.

If I remember rightly, for fan stop to operate correctly you cannot use a fan curve with Afterburner, it has to be running stock curve.

I think there is a way to use Afterburner to use a custom curve and still have fan stop, but cannot remember what or how that applies.

my msi card stops with custom profile, anything above 0% is 30% though, I've got mine set so the fans spin up at 45c I think the default curve was 50 or 60c before they come on.
I have my case fans set so they don't spin unless my cpu is above 40c though, so I don't want the gpu warming up the case

You picture has reminded me, it's that bottom check box in afterburner that does the trick, I think from memory it does some low level override or something. I'll have to check when I'm back on my PC.

I had to tick force fan speed update as well. without that ticked it would keep the fans on even if it went under my set temp for 0%

Thank youuu! I put power modes to normal on nvidia and balanced on windows. Ticked both boxes and we have a winner. Appreciated!
