Having problems with a new build.the graphics card Innovision GeForce FX5200 256MB DDR AGP wont send a signal to the monitor on a cold start up,the pc starts up ok without the monitor.if i let the pc warm up it will restart with the monitor sometimes.i changed the graphics card to a 32mb ati card, first of all it would start on a cold start, but i got a black screen when the windows xp logo should come up.i then disconnected my fans and lights and the pc started up fine.

I think i need a bigger psu,i am not sure if the FX5200 needs more power or its faulty.any help would be great.

PSU? nah tbh, the 5200 is a realy old and low power card, should work fine on even a 200 watts psu or lower...
Prolly a borked card tbh...

ok thanks,i will send the card back.i do have 4 dvd burners and two ide hard drives on my set up,my amd 2600+ ran great with everything connected fans, lights and drives etc,i changed motherboard and to a Intel E4400 cpu,but my 500w dont seem up to the challenge,i have to leave my fans and lights off for the pc to start up.

These Intel core duo must need more watts than the AMD barton.
