Input Lag/Delay in HDTV's - Something to worry about?

Hi

I am looking at purchasing a HDTV, to take full advantage of my Xbox 360. However after doing extensive research (and still ongoing), I've heard that HDTV's in the past have suffered from input lag (along with a myriad of other issues). Now since the sole reason I'm looking at getting a HDTV is for gaming, the input lag/delay issue is a worry for me. What i would like to know is whether this problem has been greatly reduced/eliminated in modern HDTV's?

I'm currently looking at getting the Philips 32PFL9632 for my bedroom, I'm wondering whether anyone has this TV and whether they can provide any feedback.

There's a lot off stuff over on AVForums about input lag, and if I remember correctly the Philips sets are some of the worst culprits.

I have a 37" LG and don't notice any problems. In fact when I calibrated Guitar Hero 3 after reading about lag problems it registered 0ms video lag.

I've also heard that too, people have complained about input lag on the 37+ PFL9632 Philips range, but nothing on the 32inch versions.

Granted, a couple of years ago this was probably the case. But you'll struggle to buy a big screen LCD thats a current model now that suffers from this

You say this, but there still are cases where people are complaining about input lag on certain new(ish) HDTV's.

There is no longer a general trend of LCDs being slow / laggy. In short, if your looking to buy, specify your size and budget and we can recommend some excellent sets

I am looking at buying a 32inch HDTV for my bedroom primarily for gaming. My budget is roughly between £600-700 max. Recommendations are welcome.
