This might be a stupid question but is input lag on a monitor only a problem for playing games? I am thinking of getting the Dell 2408WFP for photography work, general use and for watching tv and DVDs. I won't be playing any games but could the input lag give an annoying lag between sound and whats playing on the screen when watching DVDs, or is input lag only related to user input (ie mouse/keyboard) and whats shown on the screen?

Input lag delay, is the amount of time between moving your mouse and it being displayed on screen.
The 2408 has an average lag of 70ms
So.... you move your mouse and roughly 1/14 of a second later your pointer will move on screen.
I suppose this would also be the same for watching a film, the audio would also be 1/14 of a second ahead of the picture.
