Finally decided to shell out some cash and buy myself a new system. Here's what I'm planning on getting.

Intel i5 2500k
CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Evo CPU cooler
1TB Seagate Barracuda Green
G.Skill Ripjaw 8GB 1600mhz
530W BeQuiet Pure Power
Asus P8Z68-V LX
CoolerMaster HAF 912+ or Corsair 300R

Don't need a graphic card yet.

I like the lack of noise and the amount of airflow the 200mm fans provide on the HAF912+ but the corsair case is much cheaper and I like the simple look of it.(140mm fans over 120mm is a nice addition as well) How much worse is the 300R? Is it worth just spending extra 15-20 and getting the HAF912+? (Other suggestions are welcome)

Suggestions on motherboard would be welcome too. I didn't spend much time researching and that seemed to be the one with highest reviews on multiple sites along with Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3

the corsair 300 is a good case. i prefer it over the HAF mainly because i dont like the look of them.
looks like a good build
would get a z77 motherboard tho over z78

What kind of Z77 board would be a good one? I don't wanna spend more than £80-85 on one. I'm stuck between Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H and ASrock Z77 Pro3. Maybe there is a better choice? I'm thinking of overclocking between 4.0 and 4.5mhz. Not planning on going SLI/Xfire. I've looked at so many threads and tried researching pretty much every z77 board in that price range but still can't decide. I'm quite skeptical about upgrading my motherboard because of the current P5n32-E being a complete POS so I wan't to make sure I get something that'll work well.
